Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a really nice Christmas and a great New Year.
I think I’ve found something that I hope will help with my OCD. For Christmas this year I received a Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith. Basically you do what the title says – you wreck it. Now I’m not the most creative person in the world, but I thought why not just give it a go! The thing is there is no ‘right’ way of completing this book, you just have to dive in and get as creative as you can! There’s also no real set structure that you need to take to complete this book, you just need to delve in and let your creative juices flow. Now for me the prospect of this sounds a bit daunting, but I just really wanted to go for it and try not worry about completing it the ‘right’ way. So far I’ve been really enjoying it and I’m really glad I got the book! I haven’t seemed to have come across too many obstacles yet, but we’ll just have to wait and see!
There’s a page for negative thoughts so I thought I would write the word ‘intrusive thoughts’ across the page because it’s pretty relevant, however me being the A* speller that I am, I decided to spell it wrong… -_- Frustration!! So far I’ve completed a little bit of the book and I was thinking of maybe doing update posts every once in a while to show what I’ve completed. I not too sure though, what do you think?
I’m really hoping that completing this book will help me relax more and not worry as much about completing things ‘just right!’ Only time will tell I suppose. What’s your opinions on it? I would really like to know.
